The Swedish team GODSENT qualified for the upcoming season of ESL Pro League by finishing first in the ESEA Premier playoffs, beating BIG 2-0 (16-10 Mirage, 16-10 Cache) in the finals. The playoffs of ESEA Premier have been brought to an end tonight as Markus "pronax" Wallsten's GODSENT defeated BIG to take the first place in the European division and secure promotion to ESL Pro League. GODSENT was placed on the side of the bracket opposing Gambit and Space Soldiers and started off the playoffs by facing their countrymen Epsilon in the quarter-finals. With a comfortable 2-0, Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson and co. moved on to the next round where they were to face Spirit (both matches ended 2-1).
The Russian team wasn't a bigger challenge for the Swedes, and another 2-0 victory followed, setting GODSENT up for a grand final match with BIG who had to work a bit harder for their victories against Gambit and PENTA. Despite their hot streak in the league portion of ESEA Premier where they finished first with a 13-3 record, BIG struggled against GODSENT in the final. The Swedes took 10 Terrorist rounds in the first half of Mirage, allowing themselves enough rounds to comfortably close out the map before moving on to BIG's map pick, Cache. The German side had a better start on the second map, but ultimately couldn't secure a strong CT side, finishing it off with only eight rounds. After the switch, GODSENT took nine CT rounds, including an eco, to secure another 2-0 victory in the playoffs and an ESL Pro League Season 6 spot.
